What is Female Pattern Baldness?
One of the most common causes of hair loss in women is Androgenetic Alopecia, which presents as diffuse thinning across the top of the scalp, progressing downwards. Women typically experience this type of hair loss from their thirties onwards, although it can sometimes start in the early twenties.
Hormonal changes can also cause female hair loss and can occur after pregnancy or due to prolonged hormonal birth control use. In these cases, thinning of the hair is usually temporary, and the hair should return to its normal thickness over time.
